What age is this program for?
KOM lessons are best suited for ages 3.5 years old through elementary school. Teachers adjust the lesson based on the age and language skill level of the class.
How long is each class?
Classes are 25 minutes long via Zoom.
Does my child need any prior language experience?
No, all experience levels are welcome! Students with similar language levels will be put in the same group class.
What days and times are classes held?
During registration you are able to specify the days and times that work best for your family. We offer classes in the morning (9am – noon EST), afternoon (3pm – 5pm EST), and early evening (5pm – 7pm EST) each weekday.
Note that if you are enrolling in a group class, there must be at least one other student (of a similar age and language level) available at that time in order to form a class.
How should I choose between group classes or one-on-one?
It really depends on your child’s personality and your goals for their learning! Group classes are great for regularly seeing cousins or friends who don’t live nearby (during registration you can request that your child be in the same class as another child), and also great for motivating social children who enjoy seeing their friends. One-on-one classes offer a more focused learning environment, and could be good for kids who would be distracted by (or be distracting to!) other kids and for those who are wanting to maximize their child’s speaking during every class.
