Our Story

Purpose-driven.
Christ-centered.
A learning experience found nowhere else.

A Greater Mission

Kids on Mission has its roots in a physical school: Charleston Bilingual Academy (CBA), located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

CBA is a thriving, growing Christian school that exists to inspire world changers through Christ-centered, intercultural, immersion-based education.

Kids on Mission offers the same unique, world-class education on an online platform, opening the doors for students all over the country (and the world!) to participate.

KOM is a completely unique program. With a simple Google search you can find many wonderful online Spanish classes and Mandarin classes for kids, but what sets us apart is that the love of God propels and informs everything we do, from our curriculum to how we interact with our students.

Our name is Kids on “Mission,” which speaks to the heart of our program – to equip children with language skills so they can not only derive all the wonderful benefits of being bilingual, but to engage and love the world in a deep and meaningful way.

In addition, as God grows the program, our ultimate desire is to support missionaries in the field by having them teach classes with us.

So we create a cycle of missions: raise up children to love the Lord and speak a second language, while supporting missionaries in the field who are doing just that.

Meet Our Director

Pam Davis is a wife and mom of three with a passion for Spanish and giving children the gift of a second language while they are young.

“My love of Spanish was ignited my senior year of high school because my teacher was very passionate and enthusiastic about the language himself. When I went to college, I decided to continue learning the language through a Spanish immersion study abroad program to Mexico and Spain. In that immersive environment all of my studies finally translated to being able to speak with ease. I also participated in a Summer Project with Cru to Argentina, where I used my language skills to engage college students with the Gospel.

Learning Spanish has been a joy but also work for me, since I didn’t learn it until high school. I am grateful to be part of an organization that enables children to learn another language naturally, through play! Being bilingual has enabled me to connect with so many people that I otherwise would not be able to. What a joy to lead a team that equips my own children and others with this special gift.”
